You do not need to know drone terminology. Here is the difference.
Separate edited images showing the angles and details you requested. Use them in a listing, email, report or project update.
You open: ordinary JPEG photo files on your phone or computer.
Think of an aerial map made from a new drone visit. Many overlapping photos are joined into one detailed image showing buildings, roads and visible site features from above.
You receive: the full-size image in the agreed format and an easy-to-open preview. The technical name is orthomosaic.
Photos are combined into a model of the visible outside surfaces. Rotate it and view it from different sides using the viewer agreed for your project.
You receive: a model file and preview pictures. Making a model from photos is called photogrammetry.
A PDF with selected photos and simple labels. Included with construction packages so your team can quickly review the visit.
You open: a regular PDF on your phone or computer.
Overhead images and 3D models are for visual reference. Verified measurements, property boundaries or design work require separately agreed professional services.

I'm a veteran and FAA Part 107 remote pilot, with OSHA 10-hour Construction and CPR/AED training. My equipment includes a DJI Matrice 4E with RTK and a DJI Mini 3 Pro. I'm also studying Uncrewed Technology.
